Your Specialist Physiotherapist's experience
Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1997 and moved to London the following year. After working in the NHS for 2 years, she moved into private healthcare at a local private hospital.
Obtaining a Master of Science degree in Sports Medicine part-time in 2003 at the University of Nottingham, has enhanced her skills in treating
musculoskeletal condition including back and neck pain,
joint conditions,
sports injuries and
women's health physiotherapy
post-operative orthopaedic conditions.
Over the last 5 years she has also specialised in pelvic health and the combination of musculoskeletal experience and pelvic health knowledge has provided her with excellent skills to treat many conditions especially pelvic pain, pregnancy related issues, incontinence and prolapse.
She is passionate about helping women with pelvic health issues and aims to spread awareness and enable women to seek help for their problems rather than just living with their condition.
To enhance her expertise and practice development, she works part-time within the NHS as a specialist women’s health physiotherapist and is continually developing and expanding her expertise in this field.
As a professional physiotherapist ensuring continual professional development (CPD) each year, it is not only a registrant requirement but an enjoyable and important part of her practice development.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family of two daughters, walking, cycling and home exercise workouts. She loves travelling and occasionally returns to South Africa to visit family.
