Women's Health Physiotherapy

LS physiotherapy provide a specialist women's health physiotherapy service. This specialist physiotherapy service is available to all women of any age.

LS Physio has specialist expertise in women's health physiotherapy focusses on pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. Over the last seven years the physio has gained specialist status achieved by specific training and advanced courses.

Conditions that LS Physiotherapy treat include urinary and bowel incontinence, prolapse, post-natal care, pelvic pain, bladder issues and post-operative rehabilitation. LS Physio also provide treatment and care for pregnancy-related pelvic girdle or back pain.

Our lead physiotherapist is also an active member of a specialist team at Milton Keynes University Hospital. This she enjoys and keeps her up to date with the latest women's health physiotherapy practices and guidelines.

Pre- and Post-surgery physiotherapy

Assessment and treatment

All physiotherapy treatment starts with a thorough assessment. Thereafter, we discuss your treatment plan which can include exercises, manual therapy, strapping and advice.

For this reason, your first physiotherapy appointment is longer than subsequent sessions. This extra time is for a thorough assessment and diagnosis before treatment starts.
