What happens during a home visit appointment?

All physiotherapy begins with a thorough assessment. This includes listening to your symptoms, assessing movement, and identifying what is limiting your function.

We then agree a clear treatment plan which may include hands-on manual therapy, specific exercises, strapping (if appropriate), and practical advice to support recovery and prevent recurrence.

Your first appointment is longer than follow-up sessions, to allow time for full assessment, diagnosis, and starting treatment properly.

Referrals, scans and specialist input

If a more specialist diagnosis or further investigation is needed, referrals to orthopaedic specialists and access to scans or X-rays may be possible through established local pathways.
